Situated at the tip of the Middle Peninsula where the Rappahannock and Piankatank rivers enter the Chesapeake, Deltaville is within a few hours drive of all of Virginia and much of North Carolina. Deltaville is a small, friendly town with a permanent population of fewer than 1000 people, many of whom earn their livelihood in the maritime field.

Formerly the boatbuilding capitol of the Chesapeake Bay, Deltaville has transformed itself into a major center of recreational yachting and fishing on the Bay. Boatbuilding facilities have become full-service boatyards, marinas, clubs and resorts. Second homes abound, with Deltaville an easy-to-reach weekend and vacation destination for residents of Richmond, Charlottesville, Fredericksburg and beyond.
